This new Historic Tacoma project gives property owners and researchers easy online access to information about the architects and buildings which have helped shaped Tacoma's built environment since the 1880s.
Research is being conducted by Historic Tacoma volunteers who make use of online resources and the extensive files and supportive staff in the Northwest Room of Tacoma Public Library.
What you'll find on our new "Tacoma Architects & their Buildings" webpages:
- extensive profiles of Tacoma architects
- profiles of their significant buildings
- building inventories
- bibliographies... so you can learn more
We're adding more architect profiles as time permits and members of the community are willing to lend a hand - contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you're interested. Whether you'd like to contribute to our project or conduct your own research, we've developed a template and resource guide to get you started.
